Everyone Ready for Christmas

It's the first week in November and the band are already thinking about the Christmas programme.
The band will be performing their annual Christmas concert in St Bartholomews Church, Marsden on Saturday 18th December. They will again have Colne Valley Male Voice Choir as their guests. There will be the opportunity to have a sing along to some traditional pieces as well as some carols.
This year the newly formed Marsden Concert Brass will be playing carols as the audience are entering the church, all adding to the occasion.
Tickets are available from various locations around the village of Marsden such as Duncans and of course the band room (01484 846846). Alternatively contact Phillip lamb on band.manager@marsden-band.co.uk. Leave your details and we will reserve you tickets to collect on the door.

Don't forget to look out for the band in the lead up to the Christmas concert, they are playing at Remembrance Sunday (14th November), as well as the light switch on in the village on 4th December.

New Face on EEb Bass

Marsden band is delighted to announce that Sam Minshall has joined the band on EEb bass. Sam made her contest debut with the band at Pontins. Her appointment is a welcome addition to the bass section. Sam replaces Andy Griffiths who left the band recently. We wish Andy all the best and success for the future.
