It's all over for another year and Marsden finished a cedible seventh on their first time in the Championship section at this contest.
They were in a very good position overnight with a fantastic fourth place in the test piece. A very disappointing ninth in the entertainment contest today meant seventh overall.
The band are disappointed with the entertainment result but will be back in 2012.
Thank you to everyone for their support in getting the band to Butlins.

A solid performane yesterday was followed with a well received entertainment programme off a number one draw.
The comments on 4barsrest.com are very positive and the band feel they have acquited themselves well on their first outing on the top section.

Well, it's the week before the contest and the rehearsal schedule has hotted up. With an entertainments programme and a test piece to prepare the band has been working very hard.
Glyn as usual is focussing on every detail to make sure the test piece is perfect and that the entertainments programme is enjoyable to play, testing and fun.
Everyone at the band is excited about the prospect of competing over two days at Butlins in the Championship Section.

It has been a very busy Christmas period for the band with two very successful Christmas concerts. One in Frodsham and one at the Parish church in Marsden.

Looking forward to this month and the band are busy preparing for the Butlins contest towards the end of January with a test piece to prepare and an entertainment programme. The test piece Requiems is coming along nicely and Glyn has some tricks up his sleeve for the entertainment section.

The band has further strengthened with the return of Paul Dale to the band. Paul is joining on the back row and brings a wealth of experience and talent to an already strong section of the band. Paul has been a member of the band previously and enjoyed numerous successes including qualification for the Nationals with Marsden. Welcome back Paul.
