It seems like an age since the start of the summer break after a very busy period for the band.

The band is now ranked 33 in the world after achieving 3rd place overall in Saddleworth on Whit Friday and Winning overall at the Brighouse March Contest.

After all of that and taking part in Durham Miners Galas, I think they needed a rest.

The band are now back at rehearsals tonight (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday). They are working hard towards a couple of proms concerts at Ilkley (27th August) and Leeds (2nd September), while fitting in a concert in Beaumont Park (20th August), before competing at the Wychavon Entertainment Contest (14th September).

Before we know where we are it will be Jazzing it up at the Jazz Festival in Marsden and it will be October, looking forward to Christmas.
