As the Yorkshire Area contest approaches Paganini is shaping up nicely. The band are playing the piece out as part of a concert program on Friday 25th February at Marsden Mechanics Hall on Peel Street in Marsden. Their guests for the evening are Skelmanthorpe B Band who will be playing the 3rd section test piece and an entertainment programme.
As well as the test piece Marsden will be fetauring some of the pieces from the recent Butlins entertainment contest. There will aso be the Radio 2 Young Brass Soloist of the Year Finalist Michael Cavanagh playing Peace by John Golland.
The concert starts at 8pm and entry to the concert is £6. Everyone is invited back to the band room for a sop supper.
