The band have arrived safely at their hotel and after a short period of relaxation are straight into this evening's rehearsal. The band are very positive and in very good spirits following the win in tbe Senior Cup at Blackpool two weeks ago.

On Saturday 21st May 2011 there is a Senior Cup celebration party.
All are welcome from 8pm onwards.

Marsden are the new Senior Cup Champions are are promoted to the Grand Shield!

From a number 8 draw the band were clear winners according to the adjudicators and sitting in the audience it was clear to see why.
The band opening was impressive and made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Well done to all the players and to Glyn for a magnificent performance of Peter Grahams Prisms.

Preparations are now in full swing for the Senior Cup competition at the Spring Festival on Saturday. Marsden are competing in the section they won in 2009. The piece is Prisms by Peter Graham and the band had the opportunity to run the piece last weekend, at their joint concert with Fodens.
The band are planning to rehearse in the concert room at Marsden Band room on Thursday from 8pm for anyone that wants to go along and listen.
