The band are very pleased to welcome Alanah Moulsdale to the band to complete the band front row line up for Butlins in January 2012.
Alanah is a student at the Royal Northern College of Music and is an excellent addition to our front row.

An excellent evening of entertainment was provided by the band and their special guests Colne Valley Male Voice Choir and the soprano soloist for the evening Rowena.
The programme consisted of some traditional Christmas tunes and of course the now traditional 12 Days of Christmas complete with sore knees.
The compere for the evening was Mr Peter Armitage MBE.
Thank you to the chuch in Marsden and Mr Brian Boothroyd for organising an excellent night.

We are delighted to announce that Andrew Leeming is joining Marsden Band with immediate effect. Andrew will take up the position of 2nd Trombone and his first contest with the band will be at Butlins Brass Band Festival in Skegness in January 2012.

Andrew is a fantastic addition to the trombone section of Nathan Moore and Matt Tooley.

He joins the band from Dobcross as we enter the busy Christmas period. The Christmas concerts include those at Frodsham on Saturday 7th December and in our own village of Marsden on 17th December. See the calendar page for full details.

We are looking forward to 2012 and a continuation of the 2011 contesting success.

Marsden would like to welcome Liam Sharp on 3rd Cornet and Hayley Bain on 2nd Baritone.
Both players made their full debuts at The Scottish Open.

The recruitment of Hayley has made it possible for Mike Cavanagh to move up on to Solo Baritone.

Both players are an excellent addition and we wish them a long and successful time with the band.

Following their success at the Scottish Open the band are very quickly into the Christmas program.

Concerts coming up include Frodsham on 11th December and then a concert in Marsden village with the famous Colne Valley Male Voice Choir.
